Doctors Appointment / Ultrasound

So I went to the Doctor this morning and talked to her about my blood pressure. She seemed to think that there was nothing to worry about but they are going to watch me close to make sure that my blood pressure doesn't get out of control and hurt the baby. It is well under control right now on the medication i have been taking and is perfectly safe for our little baby. So the plan of action is to watch the blood pressure and have a Ultrasound every 4 weeks to check the babies growth!

So after my appointment with her we (my sister came with me...Dan had to work) went for my Ultrasound (they were checking for birth defects today) Everything looked great. The baby was AMAZING. He/She was moving all around flipping over on his/her stomach and moving so much that the ultrasound technician was having a hard time getting his/her heart beat. Once the little one settled down for a moment she was able to get a good heart beat and it was 155 bpm, which is perfectly normal. I have some pictures but am having a hard time getting them loaded in the computer. If i can get them uploaded I will make sure to post them.

I hope that you are all enjoying your Holiday Season! Dan and I got our tree last weekend and it is BEAUTIFUL! Cooter is a little curious and wants to help with the un-decorating but we are keeping him away for now. That is pretty much it with us for now. Keep in touch.

Baby Update

We went to the Doctor today and we could hear a heart beat! It was the most amazing thing i have ever heard. Like a little washing machine!!!! She had a hard time finding it (which made me panic) but when she did it brought me to tears! Everyday we get more and more excited to meet your little baby boy/girl (we wont know for 6 more months...till him/her big entrance June 2009). We are going to have another Ultrasound on *** so i will keep you posted!

Other than baby stuff...we are heading off to Mexico for Thanksgiving with the McDonald side of the family. We are all going to head out of town tomorrow for a nice long weekend! Dan and I have not been down there for 3 YEARS! I cant believe it! We will take lots of pictures!

Who's Gonna Have a BABY?????

Some of you have heard the "rumor" and just to clarify...it is true! Dan and I are expecting our first Child! YAY! We are due June 17, 2009.We are very excited for a new baby in the family. For Paul and Patty (Nana and Papa) this will be their third grandchild and for Doug and Lisa (Grandma and Grandpa...until the new baby renames them lol) This is going to be their FIRST (woohoo) grandchild. Both family's are overjoyed!!!!!! We are so blessed to have so much love and support from our families and friends!

We had our first Ultrasound yesterday. The baby looks really healthy and had a strong heart beat of 171 bpm. We cant wait to me him or her in June!

Kitchen is done!

I know that it has been a long time since i have posted anything! I have been a slacker! But we have been super busy. Our kitchen is Done! THANKS GOODNESS! It has been two months and we are finally able to have our house back! We have pretty much everything back to normal and are getting settled in. We were even able to unpack all our wedding gifts after 1 year and 5 months.....i guess there is no rush right, we still have the rest of our lives! lol! So here are some pictures. Weekends of Weddings!

Well we are back to work after two weekends of weddings. Jeff and Sara's wedding was in Laguna Beach (one 8/1) and it was BEAUTIFUL...from the roof top ceremony to the reception in an art gallery...it was amazing.

Then it was off to Texas for The Fox wedding! It was so much fun and so great to see the Guentert side of the family. We got in to Houston on Thursday night (8/7) and checked into our hotel and went to the rehearsal dinner. It was so great to see everyone right when we got in town. After a GREAT meal of Chicken Spaghetti, and an amazing video made by Mandie, Dan dropped me off at the Hotel and he went back to the Fox's with all the guys for a couple beers. Friday we got to sleep in a little and do some shopping. We got up and went to get something to eat, thinking that Doug was with Debbie, when we called Debbie she had not seen him all day...We got a little worried and went on a hunt for Doug...we found him walking around to all the stores in Tomball...he is so funny! :-) At about 6:00 we piled into the car and headed for the wedding. We had a great dinner, some yummy Mexican Food, then out to the BEAUTIFUL Ceremony site for the wedding( on 8/8/08 @ 8:00) After the I do's we were back to party the night away! Saturday we got to spend more time with Mr. & Mrs. Fox and the rest of the family at a gift opening party and then back to their house for the UFC Fight! Sunday we made the rounds before we had to get back to Cali...First stop was at Mema's House, then to lunch with Elizabeth, Justin (newly weds) Debbie and the kids...then we headed to BJ and Shawna's house then over to Uncle Bills for a second (We couldn't go to Houston and not stop by to say hi) What a great weekend! We were so glad that we could be there to help them Celebrate!

So now we are back at home and trying to finish the kitchen (yuck)...I am ready for it to be all over with. We will be done soon...and will be worth the wait! I can see the light at the end of the tunnel!

Hey there!

I thought that i would update the blog and let you know that on goings in the Guentert house hold! I dont know if everyone knows but we are in the middle of remodling the kitchen. This is how it started

We should be back up an running in about two more weeks. So i will keep you posted on the final product! We are very excited to have a kitchen back again...and it is going to look beautiful!


Other than working on the house...we have had some excitment around our house these days. On Sunday night / Monday Morning someond decided that they wanted the GPS out of my car and broke the window and took it. So that was a little scary. We feel like we live in such a nice place, but i guess that greed gets the best of people sometimes. I told Dan that I know that there is a lesson in this someplace...we just need to find it!


Dan is working a TON. He has been working in Lancaster (about 1-1/2 to 2 hour drive one way) for the last 4 weeks. He leaves the house around 330am and comes home around 730pm. So he is really tired and ready for a break.


Cooter is doing well too. He is being a pain in the but i still love him. I got home last night and he decided to dig a hole in the back yard...so deep that he found some water and decided that he would play in the mud all day. He was covered from head to paw! Funny little guy...i wanted to be mad but he was so cute all covered in mud...I saved my mad time for this morning when i let him out to pee and he jumped right in it again. Oh well...Its a dogs life!!!! :-)


We are off to another weeding tomorrow....Congratulations Jeff and Sara...Then a week from today we are off to Texas for Elizabeth and Justin's wedding. Cant wait! It is definitely the year of the wedding.

Welcome to our Blog

Hi everyone,

I have been reading everyone blogs...on a daily basis so i don't miss out on anything...and i thought that it was time for the Guentert's to get Bloggin! So here we are! Dan and I have been very busy since we got married last April.

After we got married we went off to Victoria Island for our Honeymoon. It was a blast!

We have been spending lots of time with our friends and family...and spending lots of time celebrating with friends getting married. We have been to our fair share we will attend 8 total by the end of the year. Two...and maybe Three in Texas! Yikes...Busy year. Just imagine all the baby showers next year. Speaking of babies...We got our baby after we got married...meet Cooter.

He is our adorable little Boston Terrier...and we love him to pieces! I guess that gets you all caught up until now...hope you are all doing well and enjoy the blog!
